Aziz Nabizada served his country with honor—first as a police officer, and before that alongside his younger brother in Afghanistan’s National Army. Tragically, his brother was killed in action, and their grief-stricken father passed away soon after. While still mourning, Aziz was gravely injured on duty. Then, in 2021, the government he risked everything for collapsed. Overnight he lost his career, his healthcare, and any hope of official support.
Today Aziz is disabled, unable to work, and struggling to provide for:
His wife—with no job opportunities available to women under the current regime
Two children—who depend on him for food, shelter, and schooling
His ailing mother—whose health is deteriorating without treatment
Despite his own limited means, a close friend has been helping as best he can. But the needs now far exceed what one person—or even one community—can handle alone.
