I Just Need Help to Keep Going…

Hi, my name is Azaria, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’m normally the one who finds a way, who pushes through everything quietly, who holds it all together for my kids no matter how heavy life gets. But right now… I’m struggling in a way I can’t fix alone.

I’m a mom of four — two of my own and two beautiful bonus babies — and everything I’m working toward is for them. I’m a homeowner, a full-time student, and someone determined to become the first lawyer in my family. I’m earning my A.A. in Paralegal Studies and moving straight into my B.A. in Legal Studies because I want to give my children a life completely different from the one I grew up in.

I want to show them what strength looks like.

What resilience looks like.

What breaking generational cycles looks like.

But this semester, something as simple as textbooks has become a mountain I can’t climb. The cost of my required books and materials is more than I can afford — over $3,000 — and with bills, kids, and the responsibilities that come with keeping a home, I feel like I’m drowning financially. I have the drive… I have the discipline… I just don’t have the funds.

And it hurts — deeply — to have the dream, the passion, the willingness, but not the resources.

I’m asking for help not because I’m giving up, but because I refuse to.

I refuse to quit school.

I refuse to let money be the reason my kids see me walk away from my future.

I refuse to let this moment break the path I’ve been building.

My goal is to raise $3,000 — every dollar going directly toward my textbooks and course materials. Nothing extra. Just the basics I need to continue my education and keep fighting for the future I’ve promised my children.
