Aylin is only 12 years old, but she has already been fighting a battle no child should ever have to face. For the past three years, Aylin has been bravely battling leukemia. KLast year, ishe underwent a transplant in hopes of finally being cancer-free, but right now, things are not going as planned. She continues to need ongoing medical care, medications, hospital visits, and the possibility of future treatments. Despite everything she’s going through, Aylin’s heart is still full of hope.

To help pay for her cancer treatment, Aylin and her mother sell food and small items on the streets, including during the holidays—doing whatever they can just to survive and keep her treatment going. No child fighting cancer should have to worry about money, groceries, or how they’ll get to the hospital… but that is Aylin’s reality.
