My names is Aylin, I am 13 years old and I am from Brownsville, TX. On January of the year 2025 I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis and on April I went in for my last CT scan right before my scoliosis surgery. During the CT scan there was a mass found on my thyroid and because of this my surgery was canceled due to a biopsy that had to be done. The next day we received the news nobody hopes for, the mass on my thyroid is a malignant tumor. My cancer has spread to my lymph nodes and I am in need of immediate surgery before it reaches my bloodstream. The surgery isn’t anything easy and I would have to stay in Houston, TX for at least 10 days. My mom and I have created this go fund me to be able to pay for our expenses to go to Houston, TX to MD Anderson Hospital where I can get the best treatment there is.
