Hi, my name is Ayesha Arthur, and I’m reaching out from a place of honesty, vulnerability, and deep hope.
This past year has been filled with emotional highs and lows — from major life transitions to personal loss and financial uncertainty. Through it all, I’ve tried to keep going, to stay strong, and to believe that everything would eventually balance out. But the truth is, things have been really hard behind the scenes.
I’ve recently received final clarity about the exact amount I owe to maintain my housing, and I now know exactly what I need to avoid eviction. Up until now, I was doing my best to keep up while waiting for clear communication from my leasing office, which caused confusion about the amount. That’s why the fundraiser goal has changed — not due to dishonesty, but because of a lack of information and shifting circumstances.
I’ve uploaded photos showing the balance and the urgent timeline. The new goal of $5,000 includes:
• My rent balance
• GoFundMe processing fees
• A cushion for any taxes or unexpected costs that may arise when making the full payment
I’ve done what I can to stretch what I’ve had, and I’m continuing to advocate for myself daily. But now I’m humbly asking for help — not just to stay housed, but to keep moving toward the life I’ve worked so hard to build.
I believe in the power of community, compassion, and timing. If you feel led to donate, share, or simply send a prayer or good thought, please know it means more than words can say.
Thank you for seeing me, hearing me, and holding space for my humanity.
With love and gratitude,
Ayesha Arthur
