My name is Ayesha Fernandez, and I need your help. Last night, someone broke into my car and stole my entire life. Not only did they take thousands of dollars worth of equipment I could never afford to replace, but they stole terabytes worth of memories, art, and life I can never get back.

I just graduated from film school a few months ago, and have just barely been able to be financially independent working in film these past few months. Now, though, without the equipment I need to do my job, I have no idea how I’m going to be able to live and support myself, let alone continue pursuing my art, or even drive safely. Since my car is registered in Mexico still, I will have to pay for these repairs out of pocket.

As an immigrant artist in LA, my entire life and work has revolved around this city’s dedicated community, and it’s given me a home away from my home in Mexico City. Please help me in getting back on my feet so I can continue to do what I love and support myself.
