Aydon (19) has been hit with a very unexpected and devastating diagnosis and his little family needs your help.

On September 6th, 2024, Aydon was rushed to the Lakeview Hospital ER for what he believed to be his appendix bursting. Initial bloodwork showed his hemoglobin level was only at a 4, for which he was immediately administered 3 units of blood via transfusion to bring him back up to a more suitable level. A CT scan was then performed to show that his appendix was not bursting; but rather exposed that his colon, liver, and lymphatic system are riddled with multiple nodules of all different sizes.

He was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo the same day and underwent a series of additional testing over the next 48 hours; including a colonoscopy and another CT scan, this time on his chest, to see just how far the nodules had spread. What was found is anybodies worst nightmare: the nodules are malignant (cancerous) and have already spread all the way up to his lungs. From here a biopsy was performed, and Aydon was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.

This diagnosis has devastated everyone who knows and loves Aydon, but nobody more than Aydon himself. His biggest motivator for the fight he has ahead of him is his beautiful 8-month old baby boy, Jrue. Jrue is the focal point of Aydon's and his girlfriend, Miceala's, entire world. Anybody that knows them, knows that these two are stand-up parents that do any and everything to make the best possible life for little Jrue.

As is true for anyone facing a cancer diagnosis, the medical bills they are facing are astronomical. Aydon will not be able to work due to the grueling schedule he will be on for his chemotherapy, making matters much worse. While he does have medical insurance, he has found that they will not cover all that he is going to need. Aside from medical bills, he and Miceala are in desperate need of help with funds to raise little Jrue through all of this. Aydon was working as a temp at Stryker with plans of being hired in this December prior to his diagnosis. Miceala's work schedule is also being severely impacted, as Aydon will not be able to adequately care for little Jrue like he was before while she worked in the evenings.
