Hello Family and Friends. I am starting this gofundme to help support Macrae and Ayden Aronowitz through a very difficult situation ahead. I have had the blessing and pleasure of knowing the Aronowitz family for 30+ years and they are more family than friends. They supported my family through good times and bad and I want to take the chance to return the favor and help a family I love with my whole heart.

On May 25th, Ayden was involved in a serious dirt bike accident that resulted in multiple injuries. Ayden suffered a broken hip, femur, and collarbone. This required two major surgeries: one for the hip and leg, and another for the collarbone. He is still under observation for any additional concussion or cognitive issues. So not out of the woods yet.

Despite the severity of the injuries, we are grateful that Ayden did not sustain any neck, back, or internal injuries. However, the road to recovery is long and challenging. Ayden will be non-weight bearing for six weeks, require round the clock care and will need to undergo physical therapy for twelve weeks to regain strength and mobility.

Anyone who knows Ayden knows he loves riding his dirt bike and playing baseball in his free time so the road to recovery will feel like an eternity without being able to do this for the next few months.

Adding to the difficulty, Ayden's mom, Macrae, recently lost her job due to a company restructure and layoff. Although this presents an opportunity for Macrae to be home to support Ayden and facilitate his care; the high cost of COBRA insurance, monthly expenses, and financial obligations will provide additional stress that wouldn't exist if she had a job that provided income, healthcare, and the opportunity for FMLA. Macrae will have to bear the weight of helping Ayden through recovery while managing these financial challenges. Thankfully, Ayden's grandparents, Bill and Kathy, and close friends will be on hand to help with his recovery where they can.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals to help support Ayden and Macrae during this difficult time. The funds raised will go towards medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and any additional support needed to ensure a smooth recovery.
