Support Ayanna Woods children Samir and Jenya

A reckless driver tragically killed Ayanna Woods and her sister Devonne Wilson on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Ayanna leaves behind two children, Jenya 18 and Samir 13.

Ayanna was a tremendous friend, co-worker, and mother who cared deeply for those around her. She enjoyed working at the Missouri Botanical Garden and was known and loved by many staff, volunteers, and visitors. Additionally, she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her snails, guinea pigs, and other insects she collected. Her infectious personality and willingness to help others is why everyone loved Ayanna; she will be deeply missed.

Please give what you can to help support them in the short term with bills, food, and transportation. Funding may also assist with long-term housing, education, etc, as they arise in the coming months.
