Axxel is 4 months old with short bowel syndrome, he has been in the nicu his entire life. I currently have a six-year-old back at home and haven't been able to work due to Being with the baby in the hospital. Axxel was born with gastroschisis, which means his intestines were on the outside of his belly. He is went through 4 surgeries so far with a fifth year. He has his good days and his bad days, but we are yet still no closer to coming home. We sit with the possibility of going to Cincinnati for a intestinal rehabilitation. Cincinnati is 5 hours away from my home, whereas Charleston is 2 hours. If possible, please show your support for this strong little boy.
