This is Axel. He is my rescue kitten that I rescued on Friday, April 10th.
On Monday, April 13th, Axel and I made the hour and a half trip over to the emergency veterinarian due to his lack of eating, diarrhea, and lethargy. They sent us home with a 3-day dose of dewormer.
Axel did really well for the days following that. He was eating well, playing, and very energetic. However, at the time of writing this, April 17th, Axel has gone severely downhill. He has not eaten out of his own volition since yesterday. He will not grab the bottle. I brought him to a different veterinarian today, who told me he was constipated and would be fine after passing a bowel movement. However, even though he has defecated, he is not recovering well. He won’t eat, all he is doing is sleeping, he won’t play. He is going downhill.
Since receiving Axel, I have already spend upwards of $1000 to cover necessities, formula, toys, and of course, his vet visits. I am a college student living by myself and have hardly been able to work this past week due to taking care of him.
Anything at all helps. I want to give him the best care I possibly can and get him back to the vet without having to put it on my credit card.
Thank you.
