My name is Axel & I'm trying to get something off my chest.

I'm a trans man and I'm ready to spend the rest of my summers topless. Donate to my top surgery fund so I can afford the time off I need to recover!

I have people to take care of me during the six+ weeks I'm recovering, like my boyfriend Nate, pictured here.

But I've been out of regular work since March 2024 and the job market is particularly challenging right now. I need some community help to make my body feel like home.

A little more about me: I'm a writer, artist, performer, and organizer living in Buffalo, NY. I'm also the Deputy Editor of the literary magazine Taco Bell Quarterly. We're a Taco Bell themed literary magazine that pays contributors $100 from funds I helped raise through selling merch I designed.

How your money will be spent: All of my needs while I'm out of work recovering including rent, groceries, and the necessary medical supplies like a compression shirt. Also, any necessary travel costs if I get in with a surgeon out of town.

When is the surgery? I am in the beginning stages of looking into consultations. I am nervous about scheduling surgery without at least some of the funds raised to catch me. I hope to get the surgery within the next year, or as soon as scheduling & my finances allow.

I'll update here as I move through the consultation process.
