My name is Avery, and I’m 36 years old. Recently, I was diagnosed with kidney renal disease, which means my kidneys are only functioning at 15%. Because of this, I have to do dialysis three times a week, each session lasting four hours. The treatments are exhausting, and they’ve made it impossible for me to keep working. I haven’t had a job since September, and right now, I have no income coming in.
This has been one of the hardest times of my life. Every week, I need to travel back and forth to my dialysis appointments, and the cost of gas alone is a struggle. On top of that, I’m trying to cover my basic necessities while I focus on my health and treatment. It’s overwhelming to face these challenges all at once, but I’m doing my best to stay hopeful and keep moving forward.
I’m reaching out for help because I can’t do this alone. Any support you can give—no matter how small—will go directly toward my transportation to treatment and the essentials I need to get by. I appreciate whatever you can do and thank you for helping me through these rough times.
