Hello everyone, I'm fortunate enough to have a brave and courageous niece. Her name is AVERY.
On Christmas day, Mom and Dad took Avery to the hospital because she had been sick with what they thought was an upper respiratory infection, only to find out that Avery was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
The diagnosis came as a shock and hurt us to the core. Avery's journey has not been an easy one. In the span of a month, Avery has had multiple platelet and blood transfusions, two spinal taps, a port placed that ended up infected, and a PICC line placed to be able to help continue to provide chemo to fight her cancer. Avery is a very strong 6-year-old. Despite the many pokes, bruises, aches, and pain, she continues to have a smile and pushes every day to get better so she can finally be home. Our journey has just begun, and we've been hit with so much already.
Pray for wisdom for the doctors and the right course of treatment. For our hearts and minds as we are very unsure of what the future looks like and to continue to experience God's presence in the midst of all this and to give us peace with whatever gets done moving forward. As hard as this is for us, if you feel led to help donate to our family to help come alongside us and help financially, that would be a blessing for us. Your support, whether through a donation or sharing this post, will mean the world to us.
Thank you,
