While I was recently away in Jamaica for a funeral, I left my dogs in the care of a trusted friend. Upon my return, I was heartbroken to learn that both dogs had been injured. I rushed them to the veterinary emergency room, thinking they had been bitten—but the vet delivered devastating news: they had suffered third-degree burns, likely caused by hot water or oil.

The vets had to sedate them, shave the affected areas, and begin immediate treatment. It’s been an emotional and painful time for us all, and now we are facing mounting medical expenses as we start their healing journey.

Anything you can give helps—no amount is too small.
