Hi, my name is Alan LaCava. I am the grandfather of Ava. Our family has been on the island for the last 30 years. Most of you all know one of us LaCavas from being involved in the community or frequenting one of our restaurants: Red Rooster, Salty Dog, Off The Rock Tavern.

This weekend, our sweet 3-year-old Ava (Rosalie's daughter) was attacked and bitten in the face by a dog. This has been an awful tragedy. She was taken to Physicians Regional where she was then life-flighted to Ft. Myers. She underwent 3 hours of reconstructive plastic surgery, leaving her beautiful face full of over 80 stitches. She has a long road of recovery full of doctor follow-ups and potentially more surgery. All of the funds will go to Ava's mother,Rosalie, for her immediate care and long term care. As you can imagine the medical bills are piling up quickly. If you would like to help in even the smallest way, we would be so grateful. Please keep her and the family in your prayers.
