Support Avalon's Healing Journey

Hello friends! I'm trying to help raise money for my (and hopefully your) friend, Avalon Irons. They are a stalwart member of the SoCal LARP community, a courageous storyteller, and a friend to all. Truly, they have touched so many lives around them and I would like to take a moment to try and have the opposite be true.

For a long time, Avalon has struggled with acute tendonitis in their hands, requiring a lot of adjustment and accommodation just to be able to use their hands, much less be able to sleep or operate without being in pain. As an author, you can imagine how difficult this makes their very livelihood. They've done just about everything from a new keyboard, wrist brace, physical therapy, cortisone shot, you name it—it's been tried and done with little effect. However, an experimental PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection procedure has shown to be extremely effective for them and even one has improved their quality of life!

Here's the all-too-familiar catch though: It's not covered under their insurance, and each shot is almost $800, and requires PT that is also $50.

So—here's where we come in! I wanted to start this in order to give Avalon the ability to monetarily afford the procedures needed for healing as well as any extra donations to give them a nest egg for any further medical expenses that arise (and maybe a treat too!)
