Hi, my name is Sam and I’m fundraising for my daughter, Ava.

Ava is 7 years old and is an identical twin. Due to having Twin to Twin transfusion syndrome Ava was born with significant brain damage, leading to a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy.

Avas Cerebral Palsy is severe and is a life limiting diagnosis.

Ava has many medical complications, and her needs are complex. Ava has epilepsy, sensory needs, is gtube fed and non verbal. Ava has numerous interventions every day to help her to be as comfortable as possible.

At home, myself and my other daughter Liv - Ava’s twin sister, try to include her in every single thing we can, but as Ava is getting older, physically getting to places is becoming increasingly difficult.

in September 2025, unfortunately Ava’s school placement broke down, and we are now giving Ava an education at home. This includes Forest School which she absolutely loves, giggles at her friends there and loves interacting. It’s one of the things she misses most about school - making friends.

Going on trips has always been difficult as a family, but as she grows bigger trying to take Ava to the beach for the day, or walks as a family is increasingly difficult, and creating barriers for where we can go, as Ava’s wheelchair is very difficult to push around, and impossible to take onto uneven terrain.

I am asking for support to purchase an all terrain buggy for Ava, to allow her to enjoy life with her sister, access the same things that her sisters and friends can. Unfortunately specialist buggy’s are very expensive and aren’t funded through the national health service.

I have a quote from a company for a all terrain buggy and the accessories she would need to ensure her medical needs are met, as she has dystonia and interchanging tone, as well as dilated pupils and direct sunlight can cause Ava distress. The total cost is £3864.00.

I have attached the quote and I will also show all the invoicing and payments made, plus Ava actually using the amazing buggy and enjoying life with her sister and her friends!!
