Support Ava Bean's Emergency Medical Care

UPDATE #3- 6 out of 10 days in the hospital. Baby girl is home for the weekend. Dr is giving her body a break. Then it's back to the hospital for treatment. She is being treated for Leptospirosis but is being tested to check for Addison's disease as well. They call it the Great Pretender, because its symptoms can present as a lot of things. Her cortisol came back low so we are moving forward with AD testing :/ Her Dr has talked to a vet friend of his in Toronto that specializes in cases like this. Her being so young is astonishing them. They are in agreement that the route we are taking is the right one.

I wanted to thank everyone who has donated so far for her care! Her body is responding to treatment, thank goodness. I couldn't have gotten her this far without you all!!

We still need help, but there is a very faint light in this particular tunnel.

Results on Monday. Fingers crossed for our girl ❤️

UPDATE #2- Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. That is what is ailing her. Life threatening if not treated promptly. These first 24 hours were very crucial. Yesterday I left for work at 10:30 am. K got home from school at 2:40 pm. In that time she covered the house in vomit, diarrhea and blood. I rushed her in ASAP. Then got to work cleaning up and throwing away our ottoman. Bean's favorite spot

Doc just called. They are taking her off her anti nausea drugs. She managed to move around a little and go outside. I get to pick her up tomorrow at 4:30 providing these next 24 hours continue in a positive way. But she will be on continued meds and lots of rest at home. Bring on the floor bed and snuggles. We need our girl back. Keep putting out positive vibes, thoughts, prayers. These next hours are crucial

UPDATE- Doc says she is having an acute gastrointestinal reaction to something. Basically, her intestines are revolting against her. Given that she didn't get into anything here and her diet hasn't changed, it's hard to say why. Keeping her another night for fluids, antibiotics, anti nausea, and steroids. Her markers are also showing signs of pancreatitis but he thinks that could just be triggered by the inflammation happening in her system. She is not out of the woods, but she isn't getting worse, as of this moment. We miss our girl

Well... I am reaching out for help. My little family and I are experiencing a crisis I never saw coming. Our 3 year old pup is randomly in the hospital. As of now, Dr. Cory is monitoring her overnight, his words "I hope she makes it. I'm worried about her". After extensive talk we fear she got exposed to something. Blood tests may give answers. As of now, they have her hooked up to everything to try to help her.

I have some set aside for her hospital bills, but not enough. And I can't say "no" to her care. Kendrick and I need our girl back. If you can help, I appreciate you. Thank you ❤️

After a very hard loss, my son and I were made whole again when we met our girl, Ava. She was meant to be ours. You know when you know. Ava Bean, aka Bean, Beanie Baby, Beanser, Biggest Baby Bean, etc (poor girl lol) perfectly fit in with our little family.

Our morning started typical. Go outside to pee, get the boy up for school, eat breakfast, then take a nap. Her...not me lol. I left for work and got a call when I was almost done. My son came home from school and things weren't right. I ended up taking her in for an emergency visit (night of 5/27). Bean is currently being held for overnight visits. After X-rays it was determined nothing is blocking her system. They fear it may be something else.

I never ask for help. But I am putting my pride aside. She needs meds and full watch care.

Bean is only 3 years old. She is sooooo beyond loved. And we aren't calling it quits. But I need help bringing my girl home to her boy. If you can donate, I appreciate you. If you can't, I appreciate you sharing this. Thank you all!!
