At just 18 years old, Ava is facing a reality no young person should have to endure—losing both of her parents in such a short time. In March 2025, she lost her mother, and in April 2026, her father passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Ava is now navigating life on her own while carrying the weight of profound grief. Despite everything, she is determined to keep moving forward and continue her education. As a college student, she has already shown incredible strength and resilience, but the financial responsibilities ahead are overwhelming.

While her school provides on-campus housing for freshmen, all others must live off campus. This presents its own challenges with many everyday expenses—gas, groceries, car insurance, health insurance, and all the unexpected costs that come with living independently. She plans to work this summer and save as much as she can, but as we all know, it’s rarely enough to cover everything.
