Update 12/10/25. Autumn had her 2nd round of chemo yesterday. The X-ray showed her mass decreased around 20-30% - which is great! But her immune system is compromised so she needs to he very careful about contracting any infections. Thank you all for your support. Keep the prayers coming - they are greatly appreciated!

Update from Autumn Kulak (12/3):
Thank you all for your support and love!!! I appreciate more than you will ever know
Sorry this my first time responding to everyone, just know that I’ve read all posts and comments. For the most part I’m feeling ok. There have been some rough times. Today I go back to Dayton Children’s Hospital to check in with my oncologist and get some blood work done. Yesterday the home nurse came and changed my picc line. I’m beyond thankful and grateful to everyone that is helping me throughout this traumatic time in my life.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to help Jenn and Autumn! We are beyond grateful for all of the support and prayers.

UPDATE (11/26): Autumn had her picc line inserted on Nov. 25 and also had her 1st chemo treatment. She has Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma, and the PET scan showed that it is spreading up the left side of her neck. So the doctors are going to be more aggressive in attacking it to keep it from spreading further. She has 2 more cycles of chemo and then another PET scan.

On Monday, November 10th, high school freshman Autumn Kulak woke up with chest pain and had a hard time breathing. After a visit to the doctor, an x-ray revealed five masses in her chest. Further scans showed that these masses are wrapped around her windpipe, making breathing even more difficult and frightening. A biopsy was performed, and Autumn was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. She is currently awaiting the results of a PET scan to determine if the cancer has spread elsewhere in her body.

In the coming days, Autumn will be getting a picc line put into her arm and will begin chemotherapy. This next step brings a lot of uncertainty and worry, but also hope for her recovery. Autumn’s mom, Jenn, is a single parent, having lost her husband (Autumn’s father) in 2015. Facing this diagnosis as a single parent adds another layer of challenge, both emotionally and financially, as Jenn supports Autumn through treatment and recovery.

The funds raised will help cover medical bills, gas for travel to appointments, and food, allowing Autumn and Jenn to focus on her recovery and well-being. Please consider supporting Autumn and Jenn during this difficult time. Any help is deeply appreciated, and your kindness will make a real difference in their lives as they navigate this journey together.

Autumn is being treated at Dayton Children's Hospital. She moved with her family to Ohio in 2023. Prior to that, she lived in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. She attended Palmerton Area School District up until 8th grade.
