Support Autumn McNamara's Leukemia Battle

I am the grandmother of Autumn McNamara, who was diagnosed today with Type B Leukemia. She has had symptoms for a few weeks,actually a few years it seems, but they were diagnosed as growth plate issues and other things during multiple doctor visits. Yesterday, my daughter-in-law insisted on a referral, and she was sent to Children's Hospital in Birmingham, AL. She will have a central line and port put in tomorrow and will be starting chemo tomorrow along with other procedures and surgeries. Meanwhile, this is the week that my daughter-in-law was getting her insurance certification. They only have one car at this time and it does not work any too well! They have adopted two other children recently and are adopting another child this month so finances were already stretched. They are foster parents, and all four children were released for adoption. My son works two jobs. They are on a very tight budget and have limited health insurance. Neither gets paid when they do not work. I am just trying to raise enough to get them through the start of this so they can be with Autumn. They are both very shook up. They have 3 children under the age of 3, and it is difficult to be with Autumn and take care of the children and work. We have a small local family. This will be a long process and is a shock. Any help is appreciated. Any contributions will go directly to the two of them and will be used for gas, food, dog food, utilities, and other necessary expenses. Any money donated will be greatly appreciated. John and Sheri don’t know we are doing this at this time. They have a heart for children and do all they can for the children they foster. We try to help as much as we can, but due to our own medical limitations, we have limited resources.

These funds will support medical expenses for Autumn's ongoing treatment and care for this and other issues. We are just learning what is involved in this.

Travel, meals, and missed work time for her family as they remain close to her during her recovery.

Support for day-to-day expenses so her family can focus on Autumn and each other while they figure out an ongoing schedule.
