Help My Twin Daughters Continue Life-Changing Autism Services
Hi, my name is Jeanette Muzquiz, and today, June 3rd, my beautiful twin daughters Emma and Mia turn 6 years old. Instead of spending the day simply celebrating, I find myself doing something I never thought I’d have to do — asking for help.
Emma and Mia are both autistic and non-verbal. They’ve been receiving specialized autism school services and speech therapy that have made a tremendous difference in their development. Unfortunately, due to a series of life changes, they’ve recently lost access to those vital resources.
In December 2024, I made the difficult decision to leave my full-time job in the legal field — where I had worked for over 12 years — so I could be more present and supportive for my daughters’ unique needs. Since then, I’ve poured everything I have into launching two businesses focused on credit repair and government contracting. I’ve worked hard to regain financial stability, but the transition has come with sacrifices, the most painful being the loss of our private health insurance — and with it, the school and therapies that were helping my daughters thrive.
The cost for both girls to continue receiving services privately is over $24,000 a month — $12,000 for each twin. Right now, I’m trying to raise enough to cover at least half of the cost for one of my daughters, while continuing to work toward covering the other.
As a single mother of three, I’ve always prided myself on doing everything I can on my own. I’ve never asked for help like this before. But I’m doing this for my girls — because they deserve the chance to keep learning, growing, and reaching their full potential.
If you can give, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to us. And if you can’t give but can share our story, that helps too. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for helping me give my daughters the future they deserve.
With all my heart,
Jeanette Karina Muzquiz
