Hi, I'm Meredith, Austin's mom. As many of you know, Austin has struggled for years with addiction. After a long fight, he is now 2 years sober. He is thriving in Asheville, NC with a supportive sober community, a full-time job, and continuing to practice music. He is working hard to make ends meet. Drugs nearly ruined his chances of having a good life and tried to take my son away from me. He has done the work and continues to fight the fight every day. He dedicates his life now to living clean and making choices for himself that only support his sobriety. This has required him to walk away from a lot of people and his hometown, which has not always supported him on his journey to sobriety.

As he continues his path to wellness, he has learned that he has significant dental issues that need immediate attention. He deals with much pain and discomfort daily because of his oral neglect during his years of addiction. He needs surgery to remove 4 impacted and infected wisdom teeth as well as crowns and other dental work. He does not have insurance because even with his full-time job, he cannot afford it.

I am reaching out for help to anyone that knows Austin, or me, and has experienced and survived addiction. Please help if you are able. I am trying to help him raise money to offset some of the cost. I am eternally grateful for anything you can do to help Austin continue to make his life better.
