As many of you may know by now, Austin was involved in a head-on collision on Friday, September 4th, around 11:30 a.m. The other driver was traveling the wrong way on US-31 and struck Austin head-on at a high rate of speed. The other driver passed at the scene.

Austin was found unresponsive and sustained extensive and severe life threatening injuries. He was transported to Lakeland Hospital in critical condition. Once he was stable enough to be moved, he was life-flighted to a Level 1 Trauma Center, where he remains in the ICU.

Austin is fighting incredibly hard. He remains intubated but stable, while the surgeons and trauma team work to repair his numerous injuries. We continue to be amazed by his strength and resilience.

Out of respect for Austin and his privacy, we are choosing not to share the details of his injuries publicly and will only be discussing those details with close friends and family. We have decided to set up this page because we know there are so many people who love and care about Austin, many of whom have asked how they can be of help and support him.

This is going to be a very long road to recovery, which will include numerous surgeries and months of rehab. Our hope in raising this money is to take away some of the financial burden on him so that his only focus can be on healing, getting stronger, and recovering.
