Help Austin Bring Home Gold for Team USA (Again!)

Austin's passion for martial arts isn't just a hobby; it's a calling I've been so lucky to witness. Growing up, he made a promise to himself: he would dedicate his life to being a protector. I've seen firsthand how this powerful conviction has guided every step he's taken. He poured his heart and soul into mastering every discipline he could—from Jujitsu and Judo to Boxing, Tai Chi, and even traveling to Thailand to learn from legends. For Austin, each new skill isn't just about winning; it's a new way for him to fulfill his promise to protect others, and I've always been so proud of that.

Even with all the expenses of being a full-time student on his way to becoming a nurse, Austin still finds ways to put others first. He recently completed an EMT program, eager to start a job that allows him to save lives. He also spends countless hours teaching others, volunteering at kids' tournaments and giving private self-defense lessons. These selfless acts of service take time away from his own training, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

His immense dedication led to an incredible achievement in 2023. Austin was invited to join Team USA for the Sport Jujitsu World Championships in Europe. I watched him train tirelessly, stick to a strict diet, and fight with all his heart. He did it! He not only brought home the gold medal for his division but also helped Team USA clinch the overall World Championship title. It was an absolutely thrilling victory, and I was just so proud of him.

After taking a brief break for our wedding last year, the road to gold continues in 2025! Austin has been called back to Team USA, and this year’s journey is even more challenging. It will take him to the Pan-American Championships in Panama this September and, with success, on to the World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, this November.
