Hello! My name is Lex and I am a friend of Taylor and Austin Witte. I am creating this Go Fund Me in hopes of alleviating medical expenses and the unknown costs of rehabilitation that is to come.

On Sunday, February 16th, Austin broke his neck/spine (C5/C6). He was air lifted to UIHC and is currently in the ICU anticipating surgery, which is scheduled for Wednesday the 19th. He will undergo an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. At this moment there is a ART line and central line to help closely monitor treatments and medications. There is potential for a feeding tube to be placed due to some complications in his blood sugars fluctuating and having to be NPO (nothing by mouth).

This family is the sweetest, kindest family and would do absolutely anything for anyone. Any amount of money or even just the power of prayer would mean the world to them. Thank you so much.
