Help Austin Fowler Recover After a Devastating Motorcycle Accident
On Tuesday, September 23rd, Austin Fowler’s life changed in an instant. While riding his motorcycle to work around 9 AM on Oceanside Blvd in Oceanside, CA, a Ford Excursion made an illegal left turn from Industry Street directly into Austin’s path. The collision was severe. Austin was airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where doctors performed emergency surgery to save his leg and his life. Austin suffered extensive injuries — a broken Tibia and Fibula, a torn LCL, arterial damage, and severe road rash. He spent several days in the hospital undergoing treatment and was released on September 29th with a wound vac attached to his leg. Just four days later, on October 3rd, Austin developed sepsis, a dangerous infection that sent him back to the hospital in critical condition. After further treatment, he was finally released on October 7th to begin a long and difficult recovery at home. Austin now faces 6 to 9 months in a wheelchair, followed by additional surgeries on his knee once his bones heal. This means a long road of physical therapy, medical appointments, and rehabilitation — and a long time away from work.
About Austin:
Austin is the proud owner of North County Hyper Sports, a small motorcycle repair business in Oceanside, CA, serving the San Diego community. He’s built his life around helping others stay safe on the road — and now he needs that same community’s support.
During his hospitalization, Austin’s fiancée, Maddy, experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage of their first child. She has since become his full-time caregiver, supporting him through unimaginable physical and emotional pain, while also running their business and a business of her own.
Why We’re Asking for Help:
This tragedy has left Austin and Maddy emotionally and financially overwhelmed. Austin cannot return to work for many months, and Maddy has had to step away from her own work to care for him.
The funds raised will go toward:
Medical bills and ongoing treatment
Physical therapy and future surgeries
Household and living expenses during recovery
Support for Maddy, who is by Austin’s side every step of the way
Every donation — no matter the amount — makes a difference. If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help.
A Message from the Family:
This has been the most traumatic and challenging period of Austin and Maddy’s lives. They are incredibly grateful for every bit of love, support, and encouragement they’ve received. Your kindness will help them rebuild their lives and move forward from this devastating accident.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
