On 11/27/25, 30 year old Austin Thorpe and his two small children, 5 year old Naevi, and 2 year old Valon, left Thanksgiving festivities with their family when the most unthinkable and heartbreaking tragedy occurred, forever changing their lives and the lives of their family. This horrific car accident claimed the life of his beautiful sweet daughter and while his son is fighting to recover in intensive care with a long road ahead, Austin is also fighting for his life. He is currently stable but in critical condition. He has sustained multiple severe injuries and is medically sedated while the Doctors continue a plan of treatment. Austin is going to need several surgeries including a very long recovery in physical therapy. It is still unknown if he will have a full recovery or not. This enormous physical and mental impact is going to affect him in ways no one will ever be able to understand. The heartbreak alone is unbearable. A parent should never have to bury their child. Austin is an amazing Father and loves his kids more than his own life. He did everything for them. One cannot describe the devastation he is going to suffer as he tries to process the loss of his precious daughter and injuries to his son.

Family and friends of Austins are asking for continued prayers and support during this most difficult time. The road to recovery is unclear, but we know it will be long, challenging, devastating and painful in every aspect possible.
