Hi everyone,

I’m putting together this GoFundMe for my friend Austin, who is going through an incredibly tough time after the recent passing of his grandmother.

For the past year Austin has been his grandma’s primary caregiver. He lived with her, supported her through her illness, and made sure she was never alone. Her passing has left not only an emotional hole in his heart, but a financial one as well.

On top of the emotional weight of this loss, Austin is now taking on the financial responsibility of managing the home they lived in together and all the expenses that come with it. He also had to take time off work to be with his loved ones and handle everything that followed her passing—unfortunately, his employer doesn’t offer bereavement leave so this time off has gone unpaid.

As you can imagine, the sudden combination of grief, missed income, and new financial pressures has been overwhelming. We’re hoping to raise some support to help ease that burden and give Austin some breathing room as he navigates this transition.
