Support Aurora's Heart Surgery Journey
Donation protected
As most of you know, our sweet baby girl, Aurora, was born with a Congenital Heart Defect. (CHDs) are the most common type of birth defect, affecting approximately 1 in every 100 babies born. She had coarctation repair a week after she was born.
In hopes that would be the only surgery she would need, there was a chance she would need another procedure; we just did not expect to get the news this quick. We were told she will need open heart surgery to have a full reconstruction of her aorta. We are setting a goal to help with expenses during this time (this is only a portion of our expenses estimated for 3 months), as we will need to focus on her recovery (5 to 10 days in PICU and 4 to 8 weeks recovery time) and will be in and out of work. Anything is appreciated. Here are the dates as follows and I will add updates as we know more:
Feb. 21st: Appt with her surgeon for consultation and discussion of surgery.
March 13th: Preop appointment (bloodwork, chest x-ray, parent education)
March 18th: Surgery
Our faith in God is strong, as we know He is the ultimate physician. We pray for a miracle that only He can perform, that everything is normal on March 13th. However, God always has a plan and we must prepare either way. Even if you cannot donate, I ask that you pray for our sweet little bumblebee. Thank you!
