Hi everyone. My name is Laura Soria, and I woke up to an urgent phone call at 2:30 this morning. It was my younger sister, Aurora. She was calm, but there was a bit of a frantic feeling in her voice. She explained that her house was being consumed by flames. One of her neighbor’s house caught on fire and it spread quickly to her home. She was able to get out safely. One of her cats, Garuda, was saved. One cat, Lemur, lost her life in the fire. She is very distraught by this. The only material things she was able to grab were a few items of clothing and an ID. Frankly, they lost everything. Anything you are able to share would be very appreciated. They will need to find new housing, get furniture, buy clothing, and so on.
