Support Aura's Journey to Health and Happiness

Two weeks ago, my partner and I welcomed Aura into our home after adopting her from the shelter. We saw her in a cage, curled up with another puppy of similar age, she is now nearly four months old. When we first laid eyes on her, we were pulled in by her spirit, despite her being severely malnourished. She was playful at first and then a really calm sleepy girl. She had been discovered abandoned on the road along with her littermates, and we felt an immediate connection, knowing she was destined to be part of our family.

However, on just her second night with us, we discovered that Aura faced significant health challenges. She was diagnosed with worms, giardia, kennel cough, and most alarmingly, she experienced a severe seizure along with paralysis that required hospitalization. The veterinary team provided her with the necessary care and prescribed medication. We are in constant communication with her vets, but despite being on medication, she continues to experience seizures and episodes of paralysis. We are committed to covering all her medical costs, but to properly address her ongoing seizures, she needs to see a neurologist for a thorough evaluation and appropriate treatment.

We have researched neurologists, but their services come with a hefty price tag. We find ourselves in a position where we need assistance to ensure Aura receives the care she deserves, allowing her to live a long and healthy life. In addition to the neurologist consultation, Aura will likely require costly tests and procedures to regain her health. Our initial fundraising goal is $2,500, but we anticipate that the total may exceed this amount as we navigate her treatment. We kindly ask for any support you can offer while we work to save more from our jobs.

We recognize that the current economic climate is challenging for many, and we do not expect anything. However, any contribution, no matter how small, would be immensely appreciated. Even sharing our story would help us reach more people. Our ultimate wish is for Aura to enjoy a joyful and fulfilling life.
