If you know Sheila, you know she has spent her time showing up for students every single day. Working in the Jefferson Parish School System isn't just a job to her, it's who she is. She pours her time, patience, and heart into the kids she serves.
Recently, she suffered a work-related injury and is currently on workers' compensation. While we're grateful she has some income during this time, it only covers a percentage of her usual pay. As many of us know, bills don't shrink just because a paycheck does.
During her recovery, she is focusing on healing and doing everything she can to get back to the job and the students she cares so much about. In the meantime, we're asking for a little help to ease the financial stress that comes with being unexpectedly out of work.
Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering essential expenses such as mortgage, utilities, groceries, and medical costs while she heals.
If you're unable to give, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for supporting someone who has spent years supporting others. We're hopeful for a full recovery and can't wait to see her back doing what she loves.
