On August 24th, at 4:20am, our beloved Martin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, love, and his favorite music. ❤️

Martin was a fun-loving, humble, and passionate man who met life’s challenges with incredible resilience. Despite years of medical struggles, he lived with joy, humor, and strength right up until his sudden cardiac event.

He proudly served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam, carrying that same grit, loyalty, and selflessness throughout his life. Above all, Martin wanted nothing more than for the people he loved to be happy, safe, and cared for.

After his cardiac arrest, Martin was placed on life support, but it became clear recovery wasn’t possible in the way he would have wanted. We let him go gently, surrounded by everything and everyone he loved. We are forever grateful to the amazing nurses, doctors, and staff who helped keep him comfortable in his final hours.

Now, our family is facing the difficult reality of his sudden passing. My Pat —Martin’s soulmate and partner in life—is left not only grieving but also carrying the unexpected financial burdens that come with his loss.

We’re starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of that weight: funeral expenses, medical costs, and the transition into life without Martin’s steady support. Any contribution, big or small, will help my focus on healing and honoring the memory of the man she loved so deeply.
