STATIC - A Horror Anthology Episode | August Chisholms' Senior Capstone Film

The Story: After moving out on her own for the first time, a girl discovers a TV in her basement that begins to replace her connections with the other people in her life.

Static is intended to be the first episode of a horror anthology TV show currently titled The Midnight Broadcast. The TV show as a whole takes inspiration from the things I enjoyed watching as a child, including other anthology shows like Goosebumps and Haunting Hour.

Funding will be used to ensure the film stays true to its early 2000s time period, as well as to build out the practical special effects.

A Note From August: As someone passionate about horror and the practical elements of it, I wanted to create my own take on the horror anthologies I enjoyed watching growing up. Within film, I work mostly as a SFX artist and Production Designer, which has given me experience creating and telling highly visual stories. This project will serve as my senior capstone, showcasing everything I have learned about film during my time in school.
