Hello my name is Audrey Simmons, I would like to share my story with you. I am 42 years old, a wife, a mother of two daughters and a Survivor.
In 2000, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. In 2007, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Aggressive Breast Cancer in my left breast; in 2010, I was diagnosed again with Stage 3 Aggressive Cancer in the right breast. I went through surgery along with several months of chemotherapy and several weeks of radiation both times.
In April of 2015, a mass (tumor) was found that was real close to my heart and again was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Aggressive Cancer which resulted in paralysis in the left diaphragm and again having to go through several months and weeks of chemo and radiation.
On November 9, 2016 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 more Aggressive Breast cancer. I went through chemo again, unfortunately it did not shrink the tumor, which has caused other complications that has resulted in several emergency room trips and hospitalizations on numerous occasions.
I am to start another round of chemo including radiation but haven’t been able to due to other medical complications and continuously having doctor visits to test for clearance in order to begin.
As a result of the cancer treatment, the financial cost has been staggering.
In spite of all this, I, Audrey Simmons am a survivor! I am a warrior! Most of all a fighter! Despite everything that I am going through, my strength comes from managing to stay positive, encouraging others, keeping a smile (even when my body says otherwise) and trusting God for my healing. I will continue to persevere with strength, determination and faith because I declare by the grace of God that giving up is not an option.
So I would like to petition you to help me continue to Celebrate Life! With God’s grace and your prayers and donations nothing is impossible.
