In December 2023, our dear friend Audie received the devastating diagnosis of colon cancer. This news hit us all hard, especially knowing Audie’s incredibly positive outlook on life. He's always been a beacon of energy and happiness, always with a smile on his face and an unwavering faith that God has a plan for him.

His treatment has been nothing short of arduous. He endured weeks of daily radiation and chemotherapy, followed by an even more aggressive form of chemo that required him to be hooked to a machine for three days at a time, every two weeks. In September, he underwent a complex 7-hour surgery involving two surgical teams and robotic assistance. They removed multiple tumors and 34 lymph nodes. The surgery and its aftermath were incredibly difficult; his body went into shutdown, requiring a feeding tube and a colostomy bag. He spent 10 long days in the hospital.

Though he's now recovering at home, his journey is far from over. More scans and tests await in December. If these go well, he'll face another surgery to reverse the colostomy. His hope is to eventually return to work, bringing his positive energy back.

Throughout this ordeal, Audie has held onto his faith, knowing that God will do what is good for him. He's shown incredible strength and resilience, but the financial burden of cancer treatment is immense. Medical bills, lost income, and the costs of ongoing care have added a significant strain during an already challenging time.
