(Update Posted on 1/6/25)
Hello! My name is Aubrey and I’m 12 years young. I live in a very loving, energetic house and I’ve been with my family since I was 6 weeks old; and now almost half of my human's life!
I went through service dog training at a young age; and my human and I have been taking care of each other ever since.
Quick summary: I have masses that are causing severe health issues and I need a surgery to save my life to have them removed as soon as possible. I desperately need help from the community to get my quality of life back.
If interested - Please Keep reading for more information and pics of me :)
Though I’m getting "older" that doesn’t stop me from being a sassy, goofy, hand-holding, and food sneaking warthog. I have a very active personality, I act just like a puppy. And once you pet me, I’ll never let you stop!! I could write about my extremely unique personality for decades.
Unfortunately, I don't have time for that. The last few years I have been growing multiple fatty lumps with age. Though within the last year my lumps have grown faster than usual and some are now causing me pain. This has made daily life much more challenging. Specifically my breathing and walking. The last few weeks alone, at least three masses grew rapidly - and now I have a harder time breathing, wiggling, galloping, and walking.
I also can’t walk up stairs like I used to. A few months ago I would run up and down large flights, but now I make lots of breaks and need to walk sideways to accommodate to my masses.
My family has been struggling fiscally the last few years, as my person is chronically disabled. They have no income and cannot work; But they have always taken care of me. We have always taken care of each other. Right now, asking the community for help is how they know how to take care of me.
I need to have surgery to remove the lumps that are causing me pain. My family has been saving for the surgery for a year but emergencies took place and the funds were drained. The surgery at a minimum with be around $2500; this does not include the other vet bills for x-ray, ultrasound, medication, and more.
Because my lumps have escalated in growth and weight so fast, the surgery cannot wait anymore and my family needs help affording it.
Please help via donations and/or sharing. Thank you so much for your love and time.
