Hi I’m Aubrey and I’m currently waiting on my second liver transplant. I had my first one when I was 13 months old and we had a great 36 year run but due to transplants almost always needing to be redone at some point, here I am. Since December I have been admitted to the hospital 3 times, the last admission last over 3 weeks. I am officially listed now and just waiting for my turn. I can’t do a living donation because they can be less successful and my anatomy is so different due to the first transplant.

Unfortunately I had to resign from an amazing teaching job because of the uncertainty of the transplant and the amount of hospital stays and doctors appts etc. I haven’t worked in months and while my parents do what they can to support the bills and necessities I and the boys still need, I’d like to take some of that burden off of them.

Even if you can’t donate, prayers for a liver to find me ASAP and for a healthy recovery and even another 36 years or more with my new transplant is huge.
