On Sunday, March 1st, Sarah’s daughter, Aubree, started experiencing slurred speech, cognitive difficulties, arm pain, and a prominent facial drop. She was rushed to Children’s Hospital and shortly after was diagnosed with a stroke at the age of 16 years old. This is such a rare thing to happen; 1 in every 200,000 kids experience this.

Aubree is already experiencing medical complications for which she receives monthly infusions for her autoimmune disease.

Sarah is a single mother of 2 children, working 60-plus hours a week just to keep things afloat and homeschooling Aubree. She will be out of work for a continuous amount of time as Aubree receives extensive treatment. They will need to be seen by PT, OT, and her new neurologist.
