Friends and fellow fans of 1950s youth culture history,
Atomic Youth is a 501(c)(3) California nonprofit dedicated to telling the real story of America’s youth cultures in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s—without the filter of nostalgia or Hollywood stereotypes.
Through documentaries, blogs, and articles (all free on YouTube and our website), we explore the authentic history of the era—from the rock ’n’ roll generation to the little-known stories of youth gangs that concerned 50s-era inner-city communities while shaping postwar popular culture. Our work connects with both young people discovering this history for the first time and seniors who lived through it but never saw this side represented.
Producing this history is the “fun” part. But to keep our nonprofit running and sustainable, we also have to manage the unglamorous side: accounting and bookkeeping. Right now, we cannot afford a CPA, so I’m committing to take accredited bookkeeping training myself to ensure Atomic Youth can keep moving forward responsibly and transparently.
The cost of this training is $750 for classes and, and $60 for the registration fee. I need to raise it by October 23, 2025 (the registration deadline).
That’s where you can help.
✅ Any amount you contribute goes directly toward this training.
✅ All donations are tax-deductible (our nonprofit ID is 93-3779030).
✅ You’ll be directly supporting the preservation and sharing of authentic 1950s history with audiences worldwide.
After donating, you’ll receive a signed receipt for tax purposes.
