Mum and dad of Atlas here.
Atlas is almost a 3-year-old golden retriever baby boy! He is the sweetest, most handsome, little cutie pie. Unfortunately, when switching from a wellness plan to insurance, we decided to wait a month to get both pups on insurance together.
During this time, Atlas developed swelling, bruising, and a fever of 105.8.
The vet bills have stacked up and any help will be a blessing ✨️
Update June 4 - Atlas has a 105.8 fever and back right paw limp and no appetite.
Update June 5 - Emergency confirmed abscess pockets, fluid was tested: bacteria + infection. Transferred to UC Davis, confirmed possible septic knee joint - arthritis.
Update June 6 - Atlas's hip did not develop properly when he was younger; an x-ray was completed and confirmed there is no pocket in his hip bone, leading to chronic hip disease. Ultrasound will be completed, culture and antibiotics.
If needed a CT for further examination.
