Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world;
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world.

A Go Fund Me campaign has been created as we welcome little baby girl, Athena Oliverio, born May 17, 2024 to parents Michael and Zoe, our nephew and wife.
While we blessed her birth, little Athena, was immediately taken to the NICU upon arrival. She has spent the past three weeks there as the hospital works to monitor and seek improvement in her condition, as little Athena was born with Myotonic Dystrophy- Stage 1.
Myotonic dystrophy type 1 is a genetic disorder that affects the muscles and other organs in the body. It is caused by a mutation in a gene that provides instructions for producing a protein called myotonin-protein kinase. This protein is important for the normal functioning of muscles and other tissues. It has been suggested that little Athena now be taken to Johns-Hopkins Hospital on August 2, for further evaluation. At this time, Mommy and Daddy who have spent entire days with her, hold her cheeks and chin to aid her muscles in her mouth, to be able to suck from a bottle.
While we know little Athena's care will be costly, further misfortune preceded with our nephew, Michael being laid off from his work three days prior to her birth.
Would you help this young family find strength to deal with this heavy trial by supporting my campaign? I know anything you could contribute would be so appreciated. Also, please keep them in prayer in the days ahead.
Thank you.
