Support Atharva's Liver Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Recently, Praveen's son Atharva was admitted to the hospital due to symptoms similar to jaundice and found out he had a severe acute liver failure condition. Our community is coming together to raise funds for Atharva Praveen, a brave 6-year-old who recently underwent a successful liver transplant due to acute liver failure. This sudden and life-threatening condition caused his liver to stop functioning rapidly, leaving a transplant as his only chance for survival. Thankfully, the surgery was a success, but it's just the beginning of his journey. He now faces a lifetime of immunosuppressive medications to prevent rejection.
The first 3 months are critical, with weekly checkups to monitor his recovery, adjust medications, and ensure his body accepts the new liver. For the rest of the first year, monthly checkups are essential to track his progress and manage any complications from the transplant or lingering effects of acute liver failure, which can include fatigue, nutritional challenges, or infection risks. The funds we collect now will help the family with hospital visits, lab tests, travel costs, ongoing prescriptions, and medical bills not covered by the insurance company.
Acute liver failure took so much from him, but our goal is to help him reclaim a normal life—playing with friends, attending school, and enjoying childhood joys like any other kid. This means ensuring he has the resources for a stable recovery now and a support system for his future, so he can chase his dreams.
We, as a community, are collecting funds for the kid and his family to provide support. No contribution is too small, and every bit of support brings him closer to a healthy, happy future filled with possibilities.
