Astrid Nichole Rose was born, along with her twin brother, at 29 weeks and 5 days gestation. She has had a rough NICU road. She’s struggled with Chronic Lung Disease, an Atrial Septal Defect (a hole in her heart), and due to these things, she has been struggling to eat from a bottle. Up until this point, we have been able to commute to her daily in Columbia.
She is now being transferred to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for genetic testing and to have a G-Tube placed. The doctors have concerns that there could be a genetic component to why she is not able to eat from the bottle.
We are asking for any help we can get to cover our travel, food, and other expenses while she is up in St. Louis. Our dream would be to raise enough funds for Jordan to take off work for a week in order to be with us following Astrid’s procedure. (His job does not offer any form of PTO, and he is the only source of income for the family.)
