Hello everyone, I’m asking for help for my daughter, Astrid Navarrete Quintana. She has been living in the United States since she was 3 years old. Unfortunately, she made a mistake by voting in a past election while being a permanent resident. She didn’t understand that she wasn’t allowed to vote and believed she was doing the right thing because she had her green card and was married to a U.S. citizen.
Astrid is currently detained in the county jail, and once her case is over, she could be transferred to ICE. Our family is now facing the possibility of losing her, and we need to hire an immigration lawyer to help fight her case. Unfortunately, the cost is more than we can afford on our own.
Astrid has a clean record and has spent almost her entire life in this country. She is a loving daughter, wife, and mother who deeply regrets what happened. She never imagined that one mistake could put her in this situation.
My daughter has a 2-year-old son with her husband, who is a U.S. citizen and an Army veteran. Their little boy needs his mom, and our family just wants to see them together again.
We are asking for any help that could go toward her immigration attorney fees. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this or keeping Astrid and our family in your prayers would also mean a lot.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can give. We just want Astrid to have a chance to stay in the country she has called home since she was a little girl and to be reunited with her family.
