Support Aspen's Top Surgery

Howdy y'all!

My name is Aspen Bradford (he/him) and I'm raising funds for my top surgery coming up in November of this year. I am extrememly excited and grateful for this opportunity. Top surgery is something not fully covered by insurance (if at all) and can be expensive (8,500 is the starting rate for most surgeons in the WA area). This surgery is also something to help reduce my chronic pain due to cysts in my chest and will greatly improve my quality of life. Therefore, I'm looking for support in any way, but let me tell you a bit about myself.

I am a full-time student at Oregon State University (Go Beavers!) in their Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences (BS) program and aiming for a career as a field biologist. Additionally, I've worked at Fuzzy Buddy's Dog Daycare for the past 2 years, where most of you have seen my best lab friend, Pinto, and I! Coming from a single-parent household, I've always had to balance work and school, finanacially and mentally, When I'm not at work with all my four-legged friends, you can find me rock climbing, hiking with Pinto, volunteering with conservation groups, and of course, studying (the most fun of all!). This surgery is something I never thought, as a trans man, I'd be able to have top surgery and it has been a huge hurdle in participating in opportunities around me, like field trips for biology, since I cannot bind for multiple days in a row without adverse health impacts.
