Dear family & friends,
For the past two years our cousin Kiersten’s daughter, Aspen, has been courageously battling stage 4 embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma cancer. Diagnosed when Aspen was four, Kiersten immediately relocated her family to Boston to access the best care she could for her daughter. Boston Children’s Hospital provided her with unparalleled care and support which gave us all a bit more time with this vibrant, funny, and strong little girl. As a single mom, Kiersten poured all her resources into her daughter’s care and in trying to provide a normal life for Aspen’s little brother, Jasper. Given the weekly rounds of chemo and radiation, and countless trips to various specialists, Kiersten was unable to work enough to support her family. The financial strain has been significant. As her cancer progressed, Kiersten stayed home caring for her children and has exhausted her savings.
Aspen’s now in palliative care, and as her time with us is limited, Kiersten and her family are concentrating all their energy into providing her with comfort and love.
We are reaching out to seek your support for Kiersten and her family during this incredibly difficult time. The funds collected through GoFundMe will go towards supporting the family with basic necessities and give Kiersten some peace of mind as she navigates the next few weeks and months.
Any amount helps and every contribution will help alleviate the financial stress she is feeling.
Thank you for your kindness and love for Kiersten, Aspen, and Jasper during this difficult journey.
