Hi everyone, my name is Asja and I would like to share with you a challenging situation that our family is facing.

We have a 4-year-old boy and a 2-month-old baby girl. Our house was damaged during the Balsam fires—there's a significant amount of smoke damage that's more extensive than I initially thought. We need to replace everything inside, which is creating a substantial financial burden. I’ve realized that I need to reach out for support. I wanted to remain resilient and private about it, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to ask for help.

We feel fortunate to still have a standing home, but we need to replace everything inside. We wanted to take care of everything ourselves, but unfortunately, it's not possible. According to the restoration company, the walls need to be gutted and re-drywalled, the carpet removed and replaced, and an ozone chamber treatment needs to be done as well. Most of the smoke has settled in the mattresses, couches, walls, carpet, and dinnerware.

I understand that the community has already stepped forward to help the families who lost their homes completely, and I’m now humbly asking for your support. If you're unable to help, it's completely understandable, and I would appreciate it if you could share this post.
